Reed didn't care how difficult it was for him to watch. What Ciaran was going through was terrible, and he had to be present for it. He couldn't abandon his brother right now. So he arranged to be present as a witness. It was horrible. His stomach and heart felt violent within his body as he watched his brother, his sweet baby brother, be cut open. Reed couldn't imagine something so gruesome could be good for Ciaran, but it had to be. They were going to save his brother. He couldn't function without Ciaran in his life.
Finally, it was over, and Ciaran was still alive but far from stable. He was moved to the ICU, and Reed was allowed to follow. He'd be needed for more blood soon.
While in the theatre, Reed had left multiple messages for his parents. He was distraught over the fact that they hadn't picked up. And once he was in the ICU at Ciaran's side, he turned to texting them as well as Lydia and Iounn. He needed Lydia for support, and he hoped Iounn would have some way of helping heal Ciaran.
