The nurse nodded. They'd had people in the ICU with special needs before, exceptions could be made for Ciaran and his brother.
"We'll put another bed in his room for you, will that be okay? Then if he wakes up, you'll be right there for him, and if you put the sides down, you can put them together. He's not going to be able to move around much, between his ribs and his leg, he's not going to want to," she said. "It will be better with you there if he gets upset. The more he rests and relaxes, the better off he'll be. I'll make sure all the staff knows."
She walked back over to check on Ciaran.
"His bp is up a bit...he might be bleeding inside more than anticipated..." she said. "They're going to take him in soon...he shouldn't be very long in surgery, but we can bring you to the room."
