Lions and tigers and Who: Marie and Nick Where:> Outside her Apartment > Woods > ??? When: 8-18 Early
Nick wasn't really mentor material, at least not in his opinion. But he got put on a lot of missions with baby agents. The protectiveness of his sisters seemed to bleed over to anyone else his instinct saw in need of lookin' out for so he didn't need to be told to keep a closer eye on people - he just did. Escort type missions usually fell on him too, he kept calm when other people didn't and he wasn't afraid to take a hit for someone he would deem more important. Like a specialist.
Or most people really. Nick didn't think highly of himself. But that wasn't the point.
So taking on an extra mission because someone seemed like they needed an extra person at their back wasn't out of the norm for him. He hadn't slept in about 26 hours after something stranger than normal had been tested out at him at The Den but he was fine. He had done worse on less, if he was being honest. Being around a few years like he had been meant he was easily able to put together two bags for a Wendigo hunt in almost upstate NY and dig up the details on the mission she had been given easily, not that he blamed her for being unprepared. He did the same thing the first few years. It was weird how easy it was to underestimate these things.
It was six AM - later than he would have wanted to get started, truthfully - when he showed up at her apartment, his own coffee in hand. The state park where the Wendigo had taken out a few tourists (better than him dealing with them clogging up the sidewalks, but that wasn't the point) was only about an hour and a half away, but he wasn't sure what mode of transportation she would prefer. Nick's yamaha cruiser was parked around the corner, but he had checked the bus schedule as well.
