Anye couldn't help but be surprised he didn't fight her - they'd shared a bed before, but these days, everything seemed more difficult with him. Anye instinctively snuggled up against him and closed her eyes, knowing from the past that her bed would smell like him after he was gone. She began to gradually relax against him, tension seeping away and relief flooding in, finally feeling like for tonight at least she could keep him safe. It was a temporary victory, but one she desperately needed to keep going. She draped her arm lazily around him, already feeling on the verge of drifting off, and then his lips were moving against her head. It took a moment for the words he murmured to really filter through.
She opened her eyes, puzzled, and shifted slightly to look up at him. "For what?"
