Not only did Nick lock the door, he aligned both their shoes neatly and against the wall. That was the influence of her parents, definitely wasn't his that ingrained that habit in him. Most of his good habits had come from her family, the rest had come from him just trying to do the opposite of what his parents did, and they stayed in his effort to be a better example for the girls.
"Wait, how did you know," A bit belatedly, his voice dropped to a whisper like her's, twisting the cap off his bottle and dropping it into the trashcan with an irritated expression, "How did you know I don't have work tomorrow? I could have training. Or something." But then she grabbed his arm and he definitely wasn't going to push against her or argue at this hour, especially with a stranger sleeping. He rolled his eyes at her back even as the corners of his lips twitched in a tired smile, "I don't wanna wake you up." Because even after they watched scary movies, he never had the kind of nightmares he has now, and the wake up isn't always pleasant.
