Anye sighed and shook her head. At least that answer was slightly closer to the truth. She knew it to be a true statement, at any rate. Just not in this exact scenario. "You're never looking for something serious," Anye pointed out. "That's not exactly what I was asking." She smirked faintly so he'd know she wasn't really grilling him. God only knew she was capable of it, had done quite a thorough job of it on a regular basis in the past, but she didn't have the heart for it tonight. She thought about it sometimes. Just confronting him, telling him she knew everything and laying her cards on the table, and she wasn't entirely sure why she didn't just do it. Because it seemed too easy, maybe. Because she feared what he might say in response? She couldn't even imagine. In her gut, she feared that scenario, even though it was one Heffalump was in favor of. Her spirit animal was the only soul in this world or any other that Anye had ever discussed this subject with. And that was only because she didn't actually have to; Heffa already knew. Anye would go to her in her sleep and find big brown eyes staring at her in mournful understanding.
His question caught her off track, and she looked up at him blankly. "Huh?" She honestly didn't understand what he was asking her. "What about me?"
