Personally, Nick wasn't sure what the difference was in her levels of bossy. Though she definitely got worse when one of her family members were sick or injured. His memories are a little fuzzy about the last time he came back from a mission bleeding and insistent on bandaging himself, but he was pretty sure she had bodily carried him to Medical...somehow.
"Wouldn't want that Miss Priss." Not that he really had a problem with her bossy moments. He had hitched himself to that wagon a long time ago and was used to it, besides, at least he got to give her shit in return. It balanced out that way.
Except her serious voice came out, the one that she used when she was asking questions she thought might make him bolt. They knew each other too well and yet he was about to lie to her, "I dunno. Sleep. Maybe go play some darts." It was believable enough because that's what he would have done if the guy at the Den didn't respond to his text. Probably. Depends on how jittery he got. Work was easy to find when his hands were getting too idle.
