The subway rumbled beneath their feet as they walked over a metal grate, a thing he had gotten used to but still wasn't crazy about. He still had this weird fear of dropping something down there, which he had been told was a very touristy thing to think about. Nick still wasn't sure if he considered himself a New Yorker, or if he considered that a bad thing.

Now you have two empty bedrooms and the girls didn't have to share a room after we moved here."
