Anye liked to think she could read Nick pretty well, and she was relatively certain a bailout attempt was about to pop up. If so, she was determined not to let him get away with it. They were so close!
"It will be fine," she said dismissively. "Don't worry about it. If she's awake, we'll stay out of her hair. If she's not, we won't be that loud. It's a big enough house for all of us. There's still two empty bedrooms." Anye briefly considered laying some of her cards on the table - some, not all - but worried it might just give him an extra excuse to back out. "She's been cooped up in the Agency since her awakening," she said instead. "So now that she's free she might not even be home."
