Thor arrived to aid Ares, his brother at arms and as a giant lashed out the distinct sound of Mjolnir hitting a giant's skull rang out as the hammer returned to Thor's hand.
"Ares, surely thou hadn't planned on giving thine enemies the gift of battle without the Son of Odin?"
Thor spun Mjolnir from the loop of leather at the end ofvthe handle and took to the skies. The thunder god darkened the skies above the land called New Mexico and in a thunderous voice he called out "I say nay! Midgard hast suffered thine wrath. Now suffer mine!" Thor rained lightning down upon many giants, though he made sure Ares still had foes to slay. The god of war had arrived first so Thor wasn't about to take all the kills.
