Reed couldn't keep the pleased expression off his face, chuckling as Ben spoke. He'd missed his friend, his very best friend. And the Grimm family had always been son kind to Reed, practically adopting him when he was but a wayward, college aged boy genius whose own father was too busy saving galaxies and rewriting the laws of physics to visit. Ben had been Reed's life raft in those days-- in the days before Sue-- and now that Reed was home, he would probably be so again.
"Aunt Petunia's cheesecake at that. You'll have to mention to her that it was the first thing I ate when I arrived. She'll probably be thrilled." He joked lightly, still acclimating to being home. He was about to say something else when Sue came in. For a moment, Reed had a hard time looking at her, but it passed and then he had a hard time looking away from her. He had to drag his attention back to the slab of cheesecake in front of him. "You don't have to go..." Reed said, his voice quiet as he started poking at the cheesecake with his fork, looking very much like a little boy who was trying valiantly to deal with the fact that he had to share his toys.
