Johann Schmidt had the final preparations in place to make his move against M.O.D.O.K. and would depart his fortress at dawn. Only Madam Hydra had been informed of the plan and only she was informed of his intended departure in the morning. The Skull knew Baron Von Strucker had obtained data from AIM concerning the super soldier serum and was not happy about the Baron's sending of Madam Hydra to Latveria. Madam Hydra had been informed of the Skull's plan to confront Baron Von Strucker and had been invited to watch the festivities unfold at the Schwartzstadt or Black City, Skull's impregnable fortress nestled in the mountains of Germany. He waited for Madam Hydra's reply and arrival before he sent for Von Strucker
Viper had been cordially invited to Skull's gigantic home as a guest. Baron Von Strucker however, he received a rather angry sounding summons that basically said if he didn't come, that the Red Skull would come looking for him in person. Upon a black throne Johann Schmidt sat, clothed in his black HYDRA uniform with Madam Hydra's green armband still worn proudly. It was true. The Red Skull supported Viper as the leader of HYDRA, a decision that would ensure Von Strucker's men were not only unsure, but would bolster the morale of Viper's men. Skull's twelve elite guards stood on either side of his throne armored in glossy black, well protected and employing strong personal shielding with Ak-47s ready at a moments notice and their EMP lasers on standby ready to be fired. In the event of an emergency Skull had a Blackhawk on standby for Madam Hydra with a detachment of drones and a pair of heavy assault drones to keep any who would pursue her occupied in said emergency.
The Red Skull himself would not flee in that scenario. He would cover her escape. While Schmidt waited for Viper to arrive he ordered food to be prepared and had imported dishes from Madripoor. Madame Hydra's island nation had interesting delicacies, interesting but not unpleasant. As far as refreshments he ordered his finest wine up from the cellars, a vintage wine aged almost 150 years.
