Who: Johann Schmidt, OPEN What: Hitting a SHIELD base Where: Los Angeles When: December 21st, 2011 Rating: Mature, for violence Status: OPEN, Incomplete
The Red Skull had an entire platoon of a hundred medium infantry in place, even matches for SHIELD agents in skill, weapons and armor. As he and two of his elite guards surveyed the defenses of the base under cover of darkness, specialist saboteurs knocked out power and comms from the base to make sure that SHIELD couldn't call for help.
When the base was crippled to the Skull's satisfaction, the two Schwartzgard heavy Maulers regrouped with the Skull and breached the base allowing the platoon of black armored soldiers to pour into the base, employing riot shields and silenced submachine guns, they moved with deadly coordinated precision. Within fifteen minutes Baron Zemo would be hitting a Stark Industries facility in Arizona to steal any new data he could, although Zemo had aborted the mission because of unforeseen problems. The Avengers were away and that meant that Stark would be likely overseeing his little investments personally. Without key metahuman opposition in play Red Skull was capitalizing on the weakness from his enemies.
"I want one hundred SHIELD agents alive. Kill the rest..."
Following his soldiers into the fray Red Skull was armored head to toe, face concealed behind a black featureless helmet just like his Schwartzgard Maulers, while they executed the mission Johan would be going after launch coordinates for on site missiles to distract the curious. Once they were finished he planned on leveling the base with it's own weapons.. They were here to take prisoners for AIMs super soldier project, Erskine's formula was beyond Schmidt's reach, but he would try his hand at a new formula, his recruitment of MODOK would be important for this experiment. But he needed subjects first and his men were making excellent time abducting SHIELD agents. After he had the one hundred agents he wanted the rest were of no use or consequence.
Johan hadn't counted on a SHIELD satellite seeing the base getting hit. They'd likely send a helicarrier or two if they knew Skull was on the ground. Skull had exit strategies in place like always.
