cyclops_pilot It had been days since their mission days that Scott hadn't slept. There were days when he couldn't sleep. He was up and awake and alert at her bedside with a hand on her hand. There was then his heart spiked up when he felt a twitch. There it was, she was there. She was awake Or was she? There was a stir, and her eyes slowly opened. "Cece?! Cece?! Hey hey welcome back."
spirit_speaker The first thing the woman saw when opening her eyes was his face. Second was the fear, worry, and helplessness, not just upon his face but the empathy of the raw emotion. Ceceylla had seen it often, when Scott sat beside Charles, in his coma. Felt his hand over hers; she groaned slightly. Sensing the change in relief that gave way slightly to the worry and helplessness. Opening her eyes, Scott looked so weary. “Heyy” Ceceylla spoke, squeezing his hand slightly.
It took Ceceylla a few minutes as her eyes adjusted. It was to the light in the room. It was very strange. The only thing that the telepath could relate it to, is how she is able to see the auras and life energies of the living and the dead. It far surpassed that, though. However, as she looked at Scott, Ceceylla, noticed his aura seemed different than she’d always seen it. Was more vibrant and intense.
cyclops_pilot He put her hand on his face longing for her touch. He kissed her palm letting his heart rest now. "Welcome back." He responded to her as she lay in her bed. Beast made sure all the equipment and the monitors were up to par. "You kept blacking out the entire base." He smiled. "How are you feeling, you hungry?"
spirit_speaker When Scott took her hand, softly tracing her fingers along his jaw and face. With loving gentleness. Empathically sensing his further peace, Ceceylla smiled. Nodding as he spoke about the black outing of the base. "How long was I asleep.. out for?" For a moment, she went to lean in to kiss him. But, then she sensed Logan nearby and it caused her heart to skip with a slight guilt, and fear. Smiling slightly instead, "I saw Charles." She stated all matter-of-factly. Her eyes were still adjusting to the room. And somehow still sensing the darkness that followed her. Ceceylla and the Phoenix had melded together, however, had even begun to comprehend all that it entailed. Even more so, how it would affect her. "You stayed with me?" She asked.
cyclops_pilot Did she pull away, why? he pulled back a moment, not trying to smother her. He got up and poured a cup of water for her. Her temperature was constantly up. She was always hot at 100 degrees but her skin wasn't on fire. He placed the cup on the tray. His head turned to her when she mentioned the professor. "What happened? You saw him in your dreams? Or was it a telepathic link?"
spirit_speaker Ceceylla didn't mean to pull away, not really. Emotions were a difficult thing; especially when there was very little room for her to genuinely react without insight. That was also part of the isolation. It was always hard. Ceceylla didn't know that she had any other way to be.
This new connection to the mind and the energy was dizzying. The woman felt her heart beating fast in her chest; not recalling it having ever done so before. Accepting the glass of water with a smile. And a slight nod. She never thought water had ever tasted .. so, crisp. It was as though she was experiencing everything that she thought she had known, anew. Ceceylla hadn't even been awake long. Light water.. even the air on her skin. Was this layer of the unknown? She has never been good at change. Ceceylla felt that resistance as a gathering knot in her stomach.
"I ahh. I don't think it was a dream." The telepath took note of all the machinery Hank had been monitoring her. With genuine confusion, "What happened?" Cuz she still had no idea. A vague idea, but that was it.
cyclops_pilot He reached for her hand again and held her. He needed to break it down for her. "The phoenix that was coming to feed on the planet sun. We were getting everything ready. The force wasn't what we thought. The phoenix slammed into the space station engulfing it all in flames. We thought we were done. until You saved us. All the fire and all the energy went into you … The phoenix was gone."
spirit_speaker When Scott took her hand, she listened carefully to what he was saying about what happened to the space station. As he spoke, Ceceylla was shown from an outer perspective what had happened, as if it had been from the perspective of the Phoenix. It was strange but insightful. “I..” She went to say that the phoenix wasn’t gone. But stopped as she was gazing upon his face. It was radiant, his eyes. Ceceylla saw past the physical restraint of the high-tech specs. It was beautiful. Brilliantly esoteric, something that might only be seen in paintings. Ceceylla leaned in softly, kissing him. “I love you.” She told him.
cyclops_pilot The conversation stopped abruptly when she kissed him. He could feel the power surge out of her. Her lips were warm, tongue and saliva too. He stopped a moment and looked at her. "Cece...what was that for?" He asked, almost in shock but happy. He cupped her cheek. "You saved the planet, you know? You did. and countless other planets." He assured her and gently bumped heads with hers. "Cece... you're amazing." He held her hand.
spirit_speaker For a moment the woman had gotten lost in that kiss. When Ceceylla finally pulled away, she merely smiled. “Your belief in me.” The heat radiated so intensely that some of Hank's machinery started beeping and screeching. The glass of water, that she’d yet to finish sitting on the medical side table. It started to crack, but then completely exploded. The remaining water turned to vapor, instantly. The only heat she’d herself felt was at the base of her skull and spiraled down her spine. It had happened immediately following Scott's comment, “You saved the planet you know? You did... and countless other planets.” CeCe couldn’t help but think it was the entity she merged with. The Phoenix. It felt as though it was repulsed by his claims of protection and rescue of this planet, and others.
cyclops_pilot The entire room started to shake and rumble, the glass shattered and the water vibrated. All the equipment started to spark and crash. Scott didn't pull his hand away from hers, he held her close. He got up holding her "Cece Cece." He looked around as everything started to stabilize. He looked around the room and then back at her. Something was different. She was still Cece and Cece was powerful before but somehow Scott sensed that she was more powerful and more capable. Her power had no limits. He caressed her face seeing the fire in her eyes. "Cece...what happened?" He kissed her again softly.
thebestthereis Logan ran into the room getting the alert seeing Scott being all lovey dubby with her. He could care less about him. It was Cece he gave all his feelings towards. "Hey kid...you ok?" Logan stood at the opposite side of Cece seeing how uncomfortable it made Scott only added to his inner pettiness. "shaking the entire Nasa base. Must O been one of those lattes ya like so much." He teased
spirit_speaker As the room was disrupted by electrical chaos and heat, the telepath and her attention were drawn to the physical aspects of the medical bay. Scott’s presence grounded her though. As he held her, the room calmed; though not without permit damage to some of the instruments. His gentleness was also probably part of the settling of emotion and radiated innate power. That, and his tender kiss. Part of her mind didn’t want to tell him, scared of what acknowledging the Phoenix meant. Wondering if it meant she’d be locked away. Many, (many) years ago, that's what her father did. A hospital. And well, when that didn’t seem to help, he dumped her with Professor Xavier.
Ceceylla hadn’t even heard, much less sensed Logan when he entered the medical bay. She had felt him never as she’d gained consciousness, but then her whole attention fell into the very strange and overwhelming effects of the cosmic entity. She heard him speak then, feeling the jealousness it stirred from Scott. She sort of scoffed, amusement found in her eyes, “Tea... Not expresso.” Chuckling then, an oddly more assertive comeback than she usually would have had. Being brought back to both Scott and Logan’s questions. “The Phoenix,” .. Looking between the fellow mutants, anxiety underlining her words. “.. It.. She… isn’t gone.” Her gaze not shifting towards the floor as she’d probably usually done, at sharing any unpleasant news, or information. “Not really.”
cyclops_pilot It was everything not to blast Logan through a damn wall. His blood boiled the sheer jealousy he felt made him stand closer to Cece. His hand on top of her hand, was still warm to present his place in her life. "Logan." was all he said. "Don't you have to go back to school?" He asked.
thebestthereis Logan cooly walked toward Cece, memories of their night together still fresh in his mind as he stood next to her. He heard what she said. "So this thing has a name and is a she? If she isn't gone. Where is she?" Logan smirked at Scott. "Listen kid, the school is safe. You wanted to go on your little space mission and leave me out. wanna explain that?"
spirit_speaker The woman, even with the sporadic sensory input which was cognitively being sorting, felt the emotions of both men. Having always been able to sense the emotions of those around her; it wasn't odd. But what was, was the integrated sound and visual colors lingering. And, at that moment her thoughts actually began to panic. It was at the pondering of how the life energy of the deceased, the spirits, ghosts.. would have now changed. Which was where the panic started. It was at the thought of what, and how the long-term effect of the Phoenix would alter herself. This was followed by the big question; What purpose does the entity have? Not absorbing the power of the sun or the entirety of their solar system. Shrinking its glorious power, into a biological form.
The feeling of Scott's hand against her radiating, heated one, was what grounded her back into the room, and out of her mind. Hearing the boys tauntingly bicker at each other, she sighed. However Something, unknowingly, within her awoke at the jealous nature of both men. Or.. maybe it was just Logan and the memories in his mind.
At the question pertaining to the entity, nodded slightly. "Honestly, I'm not so sure. Imagine it had many names, and titles. Phoenix though, seems most appropriate. .. and, yeah. Feminine. Or maybe, it's masculine. Though it's probably both. Just dependant on its focus." When Logan asked where it was now, she only really sorta of shrugged. "It's everywhere.. and nowhere. Just lingering, like in the place I found Charles. It's here.." Looking between both, "You don't sense it?"
cyclops_pilot Scott noticed that Logan had a bag. Scott looked over at Cece. "We don't feel anything. At least not yet." He moved to look at the screens. "Hank said everything is good in fact you are at your peak in terms of physical strength and health."
Scott didn't take his hand off Cece's. He stopped. "The place where you found Charles? You found him?"
thebestthereis Logan put the bag next to the bed. "I got her uniform." He moved and took a seat directly next to her, diagonally to Scott. "Sorry baby doll, I don't feel anything, just glad yer healthy and happy." He stopped. "Wait ya know where Chuck is?"
