“If Stark’s hunting Sockhead’s bases it should draw him away from us. We’ll have a narrow window to get the job done before Zemo figures out what we’re doing. Ideally I’d like to do it while the Avengers hit a base, using the chaos to move undetected.” His plan was sneaky, underhanded and a dick move overall, using the Avengers as a distraction but it was a very SHIELD plan right up Fury’s alley. “If we’re quick enough, I can get a Quinjet in and out before anyone knows we were ever there.” It was a HYDRA base, so Adrian had every intention of blowing it to smithereens after the job was done. A hidden Siberian research facility was too crucial an asset not to deny it to Viper and her cronies. And with the Red Skull having dropped off the grid who knew what that evil old bastard was planning!
Adrian was visibly surprised at the news about Banner “Looks like I’ve been undercover a bit too long, that’s news to me. Is Sakaar where the Skrulls sent him?” He grimaced at the mention of the guy selling powers, he’d heard the rumors but Nick just confirmed it to be true. “The Power Broker...I’ve had to neutralize his handiwork more times in the last two months than I care to admit to. Funny you should mention there only being two super soldiers, give it another 12 years and you might get a third one.” Simon was beginning to show traces of his father’s enhancements and it worried Adrian greatly. When he had time he needed to go see Reed and see what insight he could offer.
“I’ll make contact with Barton and Romanoff as soon as I make it off site.” Natasha, Clint and Adrian were arguably Fury’s best field agents and between the three of them they could handle this op. And Steel wouldn’t admit it, but his Russian was rusty as hell so if Widow was up for the job she could translate.
