Chris tipped his hat to Assiah, happy to have coffee, as was the symbiote. “Ugh, I forgot about the Drax thang. Remember that job for the golden nerds?” Using the symbiote to mimic Drax’s voice he said “Ahh, no jump pack, it hurts my nipples!” Then he reverted to his own voice laughing.
Feeling Talyn sigh Diz put his hand on the wall talking to the living ship. “Don’t worry, big buddy. After we finish this job Ol’ Dizzy’s gonna treat ya to yer own personal spa day.” It was a hull cleaning inside and out but Dizzy was getting pretty good at it. A well cared for ship was a happy ship and that went doubly so with a teenage space leviathan, Talyn was literally the backbone of the Guardians and Dizzy saw him as a friend.
From his wrist, Dizzy’s spiderlike universal took Ziggy detached climbing onto the counter to look at the newcomer - the man’s signature gadget had been his first demonstration of his new powers as the symbiote had effectively transformed it from a Terran invention into an alienesque reformatting of itself with new tools better suited to the jobs it’d have to do as part of this team so the sleek little robot after scuttling about for a minute decided to wander for a bit, waving one of its tiny legs at Assiah and the others before leaving the bridge to go do Ziggy things.
“Hey I recognize this guy! He’s Gladiator, a Shi’ar bigshot. If his boss is the client, then it looks like things are about to get real interestin’!” He took a drink of his coffee and waited to see what the Shi’ar Empire wanted them to do. It looked like the Guardians were really starting to become well known.
