Thor stopped as he was approached by the red witch and turned to face her.
"Aye, I hold no ill grudges against thy brother. I merely dislike being essentially referred to as a government puppet. I have lived far too long to ignore such a slight. However, I do not wish a battle with one who does not fight for their own cause. Committing oneself to a cause is one thing, but embracing anothers ideology because it is demanded is another thing entirely. All should have the right to choose where they stand."
The storm clouds parted as Thor said. "I have heard of this Brotherhood and from what I understand the Brotherhoods goal is killing humans who are not mutants."
"I am here to protect Midgard. I ask this. An old man who works to support his grandson and is too frail to fight, how does he deserve to die for persecution he never had? Why should a child of seven years who lost his father in Iraq be slain for not being a mutant? Wholesale slaughter is the end goal of the Brotherhood. Is this what thou would see come to pass? Thou strikes me not as a cold blooded killer. In thy eyes I see compassion for the downtrodden and the weary, mutant of human. Thy bravery impressed the Son of Odin, many lives were saved by thy heroism and the selflessness thou fought with this day is worthy of song."
