Mjolnir struck the ground among a group of the monstrous creatures, bringing the wrath of Thor along with it. Lightning fried the fell monsters as Thor landed beside Ares. As the hammer returned to his hand Thor said "I say nay! Thou shall not take Midgard! The Odinson will not allow it!"
Thor squared up ready for battle. "Ares, what say we give these abominations the death they deserve?" It was clear that Thor was angry. As far as mortals remembered who knew the lore, Thor's rage was legendary. And these creatures were about to get a history lesson they'd never forget. Not only did Thor, the Asgardian God of Thunder prepare to strike them down, but their situation was twice as dire. Ares, the Greek God of War, a veritable walking death sentence, faced them as well.
"Save as many mortals as you can. The monsters can wait to die." Thor was working on saving humans, throwing Mjolnir and closing in to punch other creatures while the hammer did it's job and catching it as it returned.
