"You gave me a good talk to get my mind straight before going after him," Jessica smiled at him, giving credit where credit was due. So someone was keeping tabs on her, but it wasn't nearly as creepy a thought as it could have been. "Bah, I'm a big girl, Luke, I know better than to live on Ramen and beer alone." She wriggled the sub sandwich jokingly to prove her point. Hearing he was taking clean jobs and walking the narrow was reassuring. She knew there was plenty of people who'd be happy to pay him to dabble in his old life.
She caught that little tidbit slipped in, and tilted her head with a clever smirk. "You figured, huh?" Heh-heh, having a friendly neighborhood Power Man sounded kinda fun, she thought to herself. "Cases against you guys?" She shook her head, taking a drink to clear out the sub. "Most of the people you go after couldn't seriously point fingers anyway. Except for a serious fashion violation on Rand's little booties, Heroes for Hire is in the clear."
