He was helping her, yes, but he was wary. It was obvious she didn't want anything to do with him, but that was just too bad. She needed his help to get out of here and she was going to get it. He was surprised that she didn't put up more of a fight, but that surprise was answered as soon as they walked out into the now pouring rain.
"Damnit, Terry," he yelled, holding tightly to her as they took to the air. He closed his eyes for a second, trying to orient himself to being in the air so suddenly with his ears ringing with her scream, and felt the impact of her flying into something. And that was one...two more of him to deal with.
"Am I ok!? You're trying to kill me! You're all trying to kill me!" he heard himself scream, "It's not safe! It's never safe! They're always watching. Always."
"Fine, Terry," he replied, rubbing at his shoulder that was throbbing with pain. He looked over at himself, the one still muttering his paranoid ramblings, arms wrapped around himself as he rocked back and forth. Shaking his head, Jamie pulled him back in, biting back the disorientation from the anxiety he felt. There was another, faced turned to the darkened sky, smiling as if things would never be bad again. That, too, was something he didn't have the patience to see.
"And you are done too," he said with a sigh, watching as he was pulled back into himself, "Now can I please just get you to your room?"
