Natasha spent the flight studying Yelena's file and preparing her disguise. Despite her own personal encounters, she wanted every possible piece of intel SHIELD had on the other Widow. Information was everything on a mission such as this and she was taking no chances. As they drew closer to Paris she worked on her make up - subtlety shading the contours of her face to appear closer to Yelena's. Eventually, satisfied with the results, she removed the disguise and donned her uniform and readied her weapons, stashing the make-up, wig and face-cloth in her belt, ready for a quick-change at the rendezvous point. Over the top she covered her identity with jeans and a shirt in order to blend into the crowd. When Coulson's call came she was more than prepared to rock 'n' roll with the Yelena and the fast-acting sedative she had loaded into her belt would take her down without causing a scene.
"Let's do this," Natasha drew up beside Coulson and gave him a nod of understanding, "your agents are in place?" She was putting great trust in SHIELD's ability to handle this cleanly, without attracting King's attention, because once she was in the lion's den she was acting alone. Just the way she liked it.
On the ground logistics had Yelena in their sights and were able to lead Natasha straight to her, though she followed at a discrete distance to avoid being made by the Widow. She might be the more experienced agent, but that didn't mean she could let hubris get in the way. Natasha was every bit as vulnerable to double-dealing as her blonde counterpart. It was tempting to take her out over lunch, in full view of Paris, but it was easier to tail her back to her room and make the switch there. As Yelena headed out of the restaurant it didn't take long to get a fix on her hotel and once the destination was known, Natasha got ahead of her. The 'lost key-card' routine got her in and by the time Yelena opened the door, she was idling on the bed kicking her heels waiting.
"Hello Little One," she greeted her former associate with a purr, "long time no see."
