Who: Selene and Nathaniel Where: No where you'll find When: Morning after a Hellfire party What: She's bored, and decides to do something about it
The party had been successful, as usual, and Selene had been as cordial as she was capable of being. Surely most found her aloof, and they wouldnt' be wrong. What caught her attention was Nathaniel. He had been smooth, more than cordial, such a host. He knew his power, and he reached above his capabilities. Oh he could probably be a very strong leader. Some day. For now though, he was still malleable. The idea had come to her during the party. At first she thought to take him as a lover, groom him for power and have an interesting ally. Her mind had kept bringing up other scenarios, situations and she realized he was perfect. Just enough of his own vanity, just enough thirst for power. She could break this one. Make him her pet. There were benefits of course. Anyone that had broken or been broken realized this. Once you were broken, once you learned to serve, you were stronger. You were capable of so much more as far as power, as far as control. You knew how to read people, how to use that. So really, wasn't she doing the boy a favor?
She made sure to slip a little something into his wine once or twice, so he'd be able to sleep soundly. Slipping into his room at night was not difficult and with the night's shadows to wrap around them both, they were gone. The small cabin, well to her it was a cabin, was remote. Even if he did try and run, he'd probably die of exposure before he was every found. No, here it would be the best place to stay. It was warm, elegant and they had everything they could ever want, and then some. He would earn the little luxuries. She could be very kind to her pets, seeing to their every need. As long as they knew their place.
With a wave of the hand, shadows enveloped his ankles, his wrists, kept him on the bed in the larger master bedroom. He wouldnt' know his place. Not right away. It made her smile, the idea of teaching him.
