The fact that he kept on apologizing just made her feel worse. No, she was the one that fully well knew how to manipulate his feelings for her so that he'd get off of the subject of why she'd been down in the training room drinking alone. Confessing all of that was on the tip of her tongue, but she paused for a moment debating if she should say anything at all. If she didn't then he wouldn't know of her darker motivations. But, on the other hand, how could she do that to him? Someone who actually cared about her. Well, he probably wouldn't after this. But, he spoke of honor, and Lord knew that she wouldn't have any left if she just let him think that this was his fault.
There had to be some sort of middle ground for this. But she had no idea where that might be. So, instead as he moved them back into the bed she just pressed her face into his chest and closed her eyes for a moment to think. If she wasn't so feckin' hung over, then maybe she could think for a little bit. But then again, if she wasn't hung over, then maybe they wouldn't be in this situation. Or if they had ended up here, it would have been a much better start to the morning. Guess she'd never really know now. All she knew was that she felt horrible about this whole mess and really wanted to escape from it.
Later. When she was alone. Then she could deal with this. And maybe even resist the temptation. Though, she knew deep in her heart, she probably wouldn't. Maybe for a few hours, maybe for the rest of the day if she was lucky. But in the end, she knew how the day would end for her.
"Quit sayin' yer sorry." she said much more gently than the words by themselves might suggest. "Yah have ta know by know that I care about yah." she started still really not looking upwards at his face at the moment. Terry was working on that at the moment. "I just finally got the stones to do somethin' about it." Well, that was about as middle road as she was going to get right now. "It wasn't right what I did, trust me, this isn't on yer shoulders." she looked up at him with a very sincere look. "Can we just say that we had some fun, and maybe next time we'll both be sober, yeah?" And maybe I'll actually remember all of it. she couldn't help but think as she finally craned her neck up a bit and planted a soft kiss on the tip of his nose.
