Alicia took a small step back, she didn't recognize the voice, though there was something familiar about it. He grabbed her hand and she gasped, "Wait, who -"
Before she could get it out, he answered and she froze. Ben? yes, it did sound sort of like him but, no, no it wasn't him. She was well aware by now that there were those that wanted to get to Ben and his family and she wasn't about to let them do it through her. She frowned. It was an array of emotions and thoughts running quickly through her head. No, it didn't sound exactly like Ben, and wouldn't Sue tell her if she was working on something? Or maybe she wouldn't, thinking it might get the artist's hopes up. Of course what no one seemed to realize was that the chance to be physically human again was a much much bigger deal to Ben than it ever was to her.
She slid to the side and set the flowers down on the table by the door before slowly raising her hand to find his face. Fingers just brushed over his cheek before finding his jaw line. Over eyes, her other hand came up and she brushed finger tips down his eyes and then his mouth, his smile. "Ben?"
