The light would have been a bit warm, but, it wasn't going to do the same damage to Carter as it would to Sakura. she took a few deep breaths before allowing herself to melt into Carter's shadow, freeing herself from the bonds. There was no horrific skin versus bone melting. Just one minute she was there, and then slowly, she slipped into the shadow like a normal person would water.
In the shadow, she could feel herself already starting to heal. Nothing extravagant. Nothing so dramatic as the legendary Captain America or those who had a healing factor. Still, just the fact that she was out of the light made for a great deal of difference for the shadow woman.
About five minutes later, she appeared, as she was with a few burns seeming a bit better, behind the lights near her men. She couldn't remain standing for very long though. She fell to her knees, still weak from the pain and her injuries. She cautiously held her hands up, just in case the two soldiers Carter had appeared with felt anxious.
"Thank you..." She took a few deep breaths, "I am Sanada Sakura... In return for saving my life, I pledge my service to you, Agent Carter."
Not that she'd be a great deal of help right now... but all the same.
