He took her hand and she leaned forward to brush at his face again. She couldn't help it she worried. "That isn't necessarily a good thing Nathan. There are those that will want that power if they know it's here. I'm still working on finding a way to set it free. Without destroying everything."
She smiled and shook her head. "Essex will always be on the loose. I'm thinking at this point you should stop tilting at that particular windmill and live a little. None of this matters if you don't have a life you know. And you aren't in this alone anymore." She caught the stutter and tilted her head. "He's always going to be your dad, even if he and I aren't together. Whatever he does in his life, whatever choices he makes, you know that he loves you."
