"Excuses, excuses," she dismissed with a smirk and walked over to the side of the bed to sit closer to him. Looking over his bumps and bruises to gauge the extent and damage, she leaned over and gave him a kiss. It had been a while since she got to visit him and was happy to see him again. "So I leave the Big Apple and the States to get away from the superhero shake down and you decide to pick a fight with space aliens on American soil. I think our plans didn't overlap properly."
She shrugged, flicking her hand around vaguely. "I've been around, making my trouble and enjoying the sights. Sadly I was in Rome when the Greenies hit it, had a scuffle or two for species' sake." Smiling, she tilted her head and considered his restraints. "Gibson said a caramel sundae was in it for me if I don't. You've apparently been very bad about the whole thing."
