Once the batter was finished she put the dishes in the sink and turned off the stove. "No, for us it's very emotional but Reed. . ." Sue sighed. She knew what the problem was and they most likely did as well. "Reed shuts off his emotion. Especially when he's scared. He thinks it will stop him from making the wrong decision. If he uses just his mind, and not his heart. So for us, yes, it's emotions. The problem is, it's not for Reed."
She looked at the pancakes and decided even if her stomach was protesting she should probably eat a little something. "I think if anyone can get through to him it's Ben. He stopped listening to me long ago." Sue had to pause before grabbing the syrup, it made her sick to think what could happen if this passed.
"There lies the problem. The only people that will register are the good guys, you won't see the bad guys lining up to tell everyone who they really are or where they live. Which means the information would be out there for every crazed fan and person with a vendetta. It just puts those trying to help at an even bigger disadvantage and their lives in bigger danger!"
