Alicia was working on teaching. Odd really as she couldn't actually see if her pupils were getting it but for some reason, it was working. People relied too much on their sight. She was teaching them to feel, to know what a person's anatomy was. Looking at a person you really didn't understand the underlying bone structure and muscle make up. Something that, believe it or not, was important for sculpting. So maybe, getting them to feel that, was actually better.
She had paired people up so they could work together, feel under the jaw, the base of the skull, cheek bones. It was amazing how different sculpting became when you understood you were sculpting what is seen on the outside but it was all dependent on what was underneath. Class had ended for the day and she was glad that the students at least seemed to feel it was worth it.
Pulling on her trench she grabbed her cane and headed down the stairs and out to the street. A good brisk walk would be great before hitting the bar. She thought she'd have a drink, maybe run into Ben, it had been a good day. Well, so far. Until the ground shifted out from under her. She assumed she had just lost her footing, but she reached to grab for something but the ground was gone and she was falling. Hands, helping her, or pulling her down, it was so confusing and she gasped, but couldn't get out a scream before she was pulled forward. Finally left alone. As far as she knew.
Pushing her hair from her face she stood up and tried to catch her balance. Wincing at a bruise she could feel forming along her cheek she heard someone, no idea who and wasn't really all that impressed. Especially when she figured out all they wanted was a way to Ben. "You're greeting could use some work. Like less bruises." She felt around for her cane but couldn't find it so gave up. "Oh well, sorry, can't help you, haven't seen it." Alicia added with a smile.
