Johnny would claim he'd been on a much needed vacation but let's face the facts- Johnny Storm's whole life was just one big epic holiday filled with luxury, girls, fun and stardom. He'd been in Vegas staying out of all the Hero-stuff going on, just as he'd been told to, which probably surprised everyone. Apparently he was 'unfit' to help other Hero groups and such so whatever, he didn't necessarily want them to die but he wasn't going to be a bench warmer for them. He was tired of being treated like a kid, he'd been in this hero business for years now and just because he didn't have a personal vendetta driving him didn't make him any less able. But whatever- gambling, alcohol and women had beckoned him and he was tired of all the lectures and turn-downs by other Heroes. So Las Vegas had been blessed by Johnny Storm as his Haven for over a Month in which time he won a lot of money, lost little, slept with a lot of women and managed not to end up married.
But he was missing The Torch and if he was honest he was also missing the whole Hero thing. He'd never really realized that there were two parts to him, he thought it was just one tornado but no, there was the playboy and then there was the Torch. He's satisfied the playboy and now it was time to go home and satisfy the Torch. He'd driven home in his Sportscar and everything seemed okay. He parked and took his phone and such out of his pocket dumping them onto his seat, he closed the door of the garage manually and with one quick move and his usual "Flame on" He was litten and up in the air.
It felt so right to be back here, like this. It was like stretching your legs after sitting in an office for so many hours. It was amazing. He breezed around the city causing many civilians to point up and marvel at him as he passed. He was racing around the whole city in peace, half of him was looking for a fight, the other part was looking for someone to converse with. Whatever he came across first would win.
