Jean was attempting to fight for just a hole, a small foot hold to get into his mind again. Scott's idea had merit, of course, so she shot him a quick nod. "If nothing else it will distract him. Do it."
The show that did hit him pushed Alex to his knee. It made her throat close for a second but she knew she couldn't hesitate and her hands fisted at her side as she struck. Finding Apocalypse she wrapped her mind around him. Tendrils of flames leaping up his body. "You had your chance to leave, now I'm going to make sure you don't come back." The tendrils began to squeeze, flames getting hotter. Most people saw flames and thought of reds and golds.
Her flames had gone brighter, yellow, to white, to blue. The saying was apt, 'Only the fire born fear blue'. Only the hottest flames could hold the blue edge for long and her flames were slowly becoming all blue. Heat to melt anything that it touched, melting bone, brick, and essence. If she could, she'd kill him.
Her body, was trembling, a line of blood coming from her nose as her teeth grit and her eyes bled to white glow.
