She sighed and shifted her head to get comfortable. "You weren't rabid, or an animal. You were hurt, and scared. Oh dont' argue it, you were scared. To trust anyone, to get close to anyone, to get comfortable anywhere." Jean remembered it, and while a lot of the others though he was just an ass, or dismissed him, she could feel the hurt, she knew it was all just a cover. A way to push people away before they even thought about trying to get close. The professor had seen through it too, he had just been a lot more patient than any of them.
