Jean hated that. The idea that she had a son and didn't protect him. She didn't exactly have the chance to do it right now, if anything the future he came from was gone now. She was just glad that he hadn't disappeared with it. The problem was, she couldn't exactly protect him now either! He didn't exactly let her.
"I know he does Logan. Too much sometimes I think. It's not his job to protect me. He needs to let me help him." She followed him to the bed as he pulled at her hand. With a sigh she laid down and closed her eyes, just listening to his heart. "I know you think that helps Logan but it doesn't. It just means more people to hurt."
