His initial swing with the debris missed its mark, the young woman jumping backwards at the last moment and dodging the attack. He was quick to follow up with another swing, anchoring the debris in front of him -- and it protected him from the brunt of her next blast of energy, pushing him back a little but knocking the debris from his hands, through the wall of vehicle parts and fire. That didn't stop him; not content to keep a relative distance from her now, he moved into close quarters and went on the offensive again. With every punch that he threw, he put a bit more power into each one. He knew from previous experience that she was a strong opponent, but he wasn't interested in wasting time. Even if she blocked most of his attacks, his superior strength and lack of fatigue would wear her down eventually, and he'd take advantage of that. Even if it meant he'd have to endure her powers for a while. The words that came from her lips fell on non-existent ears; he heard them all, but reacted to none of them. Whatever she was trying to achieve wouldn't work. He was in complete control now, and Robbie wanted this as much as he did. To judge the sinners and purge them from the world. It was the deal that they had made when trapped between dimensions. There was no backing out. |
