WHO: Kara and Matt Murdock WHAT: A passed out hero WHEN: Sunday June 25th WHERE: The Lobby RATING: Low
This...was a conundrum. Kara played the voice post on the net again. People were dropping like flies down there and sure...she'd been told it was just sleep but what if it wasn't? What if they were dying down there and no one could get to them? She looked inside herself, hoping for some niggle from her programming that would take away the choice. Humans were in danger. She had to protect them. But there was nothing. Nothing more than the knowledge that if she went down there and started hauling people out, there would be no hiding what she was anymore. People would know. And maybe they would fear her. Or maybe they would tear her apart to see how she worked. Humans could be such evil things without ever even realizing they were. She stared into space and played the message again before rising. Humans were in danger. She had to protect them.
The elevator opened on a pile of tourists and Kara picked them up without difficulty, moving them into the elevator. She scanned the map of the hotel she'd saved to her memory and selected then nearest meeting room of decent size, heading for it and laying the people out side by side before returning for more. She'd pulled 20 when she found him. One of "her" people, she supposed. One of the ill fated heroes, dressed head to toe in black. She turned him over, preparing to lift. His face was mostly covered. Would have fooled a human, but it didn't fool her. 50% of his face was enough to identify him. What in the world was a blind man doing playing at hero? His vitals were strong, as had been those of the tourists she'd already rescued. Making a face, Kara lifted him and took him all the way up to his room, laying him out on his bed. She'd check on him later.
