Rey liked the lobby. She liked it better than other places. There was so much greenery here and immediately in front of the...what was the word again? Hotel. And the fountains...so much water in one place and always moving. The high ceilings, the clean are, the bustle of people...everything here was the opposite of what she'd left behind and, perhaps most importantly, she couldn't see the desert from in here. That, in and of itself, made the place worth staying in. All she could see when she looked out the main windows were the other buildings, the beautiful blue sky, and the man made beach with its multitude of people splashing about. It was a definite improvement on her life before...
...if a touch lonely.
For a moment, she didn't even register the sound of her own name being shouted over the crowd. She knew so few people here, no one was ever generally looking for her. She'd pointedly avoided the general, unsure of how to speak to the woman. She was so young, which made no sense, but so few things did here. How could Rey talk to her, knowing the tragedy that was going to come into her life, and being able to say nothing? It was easier to keep to herself.
But she did hear her name. Slowly she turned, scanning the crowd to see who might have called for her, and then her eyes widened in disbelief. Her feet were moving before she had finished thinking through the improbability of it all and she was running across the lobby. People dodged out of her way in annoyance and surprise and she didn't care. She didn't even stop to wonder if he was still injured, if she might be hurting him, as she reached Finn and hugged him hard and tight.
"You're...!!!!!!" she'd almost said alive but stopped herself. Of course he was alive. He'd been injured, but he wouldn't have died. She was sure of it. "You're here!" she finished instead, hoping her hesitation on the word wouldn't be noticed.
