He watched her eyes move down his body in an all too familiar way and smiled just a little bit. That same flirtation even though things were not the same. But then things were never really the same between them. Each time he saw her there was something different. The only thing that had not changed yet was the arch of her eyebrow and her direct appraisal.
The alcohol had made him warm already but her look made that warmth creep down lower than where the alcohol rested. He drew a slow breath and took up the new glass of whiskey for another drink as he continued to study her familiar face, "I do not believe my flirtation will be a replacement for money."
