The response took her by surprise. It was just so...human. Cas had been sarcastic before. He had a level of bitchiness lurking just under the skin that could be brought out if you knew which buttons to press, and she occasionally did. More often than not, at least from what she'd seen, a certain Winchester managed to press them without even trying, in the same ham-fisted way he did everything. But this? It smacked of cynicism. And that wasn't something she'd seen in the angel before. Had it always been there? Or had it simply been brought on by his current circumstances.
