"Hello, Castiel," she said, overly formal, but with a bit of a smile curving her lips. Frustrated as she was...angry as she was...the angel never failed to bring out that reaction in her. That slight bit of amusement, and that softness that seemed to only come out for him. Half the time she wasn't even aware of it.
Was it right to still think of him as angel? Looking at him now, she could see the humanity. Before, there had always been that light behind the eyes, that almost made it hurt to look at him sometimes. It wasn't there now. His grace was well and truly gone. But that didn't make him human. He wasn't like her...he'd never been human. He was an angel still, grace or no grace. That decided, she felt slightly better about the situation.
"So tell me again why you hang out with those assholes?"
