Thor couldn't help but smile at Jyn's comment, appreciative of her attempts to lighten his spirits, and shifted his gaze to the left where Jyn sat next to him in the sand. "An old friend said something similar," Thor commented, thinking back to the moment on the Quinjet where the Hulk had become Banner again after two years. Thor hadn't fully appreciated how overwhelming that must've been for Bruce, until he had woken up and realised his own situation fully. A loud splash drew Thor's attention for a moment, his gaze shifting to rest on Skaði. She played in the water like a child, her enormous paws batting at the waves as they approached, and droplets of water ran down her long whiskers with every splash. "The eye patch is growing on me also," Thor continued, reaching up out of reflex and brushing his fingers against it briefly. It still felt strange, but perhaps he would come to think that it suited him, like Loki did. Thor returned his gaze to Jyn, her presence a comfort to him in a way that he could not admit with words in that moment. They had met amidst some of the strangest circumstances, but he would not wish for anything to be different. It remained strange, this entire place, but being here had taught him much - and given him something more, in friends such as Jyn. "How is Halvard?" Thor asked, curious to know how her small animal friend fared. |
