A small frown formed on her lips when he asked if he was what she expected, however she didn't comment on it. She nodded her head, "You seem tired though," she added, Peggy was going to be honest. "But I'm going to assume you aren't going to want to talk about that." She wasn't going to push him, that wasn't why she wanted to meet up.
A genuine smiled flashed on her face when he asked did she know how not to be blunt, her head shock lightly, she was known for her bluntness. She did shoot at Steve when she was made at him, to 'test' out his shield. She was sure everyone talked about that, due to the fact Peggy was always so well rounded and reserved when in charge.
Her brow raised, if they were more then comrades in the war, perhaps she would have pushed on why he didn't view his death as heroic. "No matter what happened after that," she told him, her eyes leveled to meet his, "your death was heroic...to your unity, to everyone. You don't have to believe it to make it so." It was new to know the fall didn't kill him, but he had to have suffered. "Where you captured?" she asked...prodding just a little.
Then her hand waved dismissively, "you don't have to talk about it," she told him, "but if you want to, I'll listen." She smiled slightly at him, "but can I inquire about information in the time we are in now, I'm very lost with everything. It's all different than back home."
