Julian didn’t expect Emma to know, any more than he expected himself to. Theories materialised in his mind, even while he walked over to the window of his room and looked out at the lights of the city below. A warlock portal was one possibility, but not inside Alicante without taking the wards down for such an action. Vampires could project themselves wherever they chose to, but it was not teleportation. That was something only possible in Ty and Tavvy’s comic books. “Any theories you might have thought of?” Julian asked, knowing that her mind would have been working along the same lines as his own. If nothing else, he wanted to hear that they were on the same page, even if the page was entirely strange and unfamiliar territory. His brow furrowed at what Alec had said. “Different points in time?” he questioned, uncertain how that was possible, but her next words cemented that it was possible. “The meeting had happened….” He trailed off, unable to explain what had happened - not over the phone.
