Jon couldn't help but see the way she relaxed when he approached, because of how visible it was. It felt almost strange, having the last Targaryen so relieved to see him. He hadn't even met her yet; he'd just left Winterfell on his way to see her, but she remembered meeting him. He chalked that up to just another strange aspect of this unfamiliar kingdom. He rested his hand on Ghost's ruff, both keeping the direwolf close to his side and reassuring him as much as possible. Though, if Jon was being honest, he wasn't certain if that reassurance was for Ghost or for himself. Jon glanced in the direction of the group of celebrating people, then returned his attention to Daenerys. "I don't know. I haven't spoken to many of them but perhaps one of them will tell us," he remarked. Their attire -- her dress, his leathers -- were so out of place in this very strange kingdom, and the weather was nothing like he was used to in the North. He'd gotten rid of his fur cloak and most of his thick winter clothes, because it was too warm to keep wearing them, and chose to just wear his simple clothes and leather armour. "A lot of things are different here. We'll have to learn their customs." He was not certain how they would do that, but he was willing to try and make an attempt. There was no way home that he knew of -- that anyone knew of, really -- and it would be in their best interests to try. |
