"That's right, I was," she replied, taking one more swig of her own pale green drink before setting it down on the bar surface. She'd been going at her waffle more sparingly then the man in front of her, but that was partly because she wasn't actually able to remember the last time she'd had a waffle at all. "We got a chance for some shore leave on Citadel during the war, 'cause this lady needed some improvements," she began, patting the bar to indicate that she was talking about the ship. "Remind me to show you some recordings of Citadel, you'll like it. Anyway, I got a call from C-Sec, their security force, about a "trouble-making krogan" and requested my involvement." She used her fingers to make air quotes as she said the words. "Found the officer, and Grunt, next to a noodle stand. I sorted it all out with the officer, and then got the full story from Grunt." She raised her eyebrows slightly, remembering it. "He'd gotten bored recovering in the hospital and had gotten his soldiers to break him out of the hospital with a rope. It didn't completely work, because he ended up falling a few stories. They also climbed up a memorial statue in the Presidium. Obviously, C-Sec was called - disturbing the peace and all that - so Grunt lit a bottle of Ryncol on fire and threw it at the C-Sec shuttle." She took another swig of her drink. "He then stole the same shuttle and took it for a joyride until he crashed it into a noodle stand. And he got arrested because he'd gotten hungry and was buying noodles, so C-Sec caught up to him." A short laugh left her lips. "We also had a party with the whole crew, past and present. He dared Wrex to a drinking contest, they head-butted each other to show the other one up, and he got so wasted that he ended up in the shower muttering about space cowboys, wizards, expressing sadness that hanar are unable to wear sweaters, and damning someone's lettuce." She grinned at Sweeney. "And now he and Wrex are both here. If they find any Ryncol on this ship, you'll get your headbutt sooner rather than later." |
