It was true that Klaus breathed like a mortal did but it was just to keep appearance and not because he actually had to. When he was trying to blend in with the humans he acted like one so as to not cause alarm.
He smirked at Alex answer. He did enjoy the spark that she had. She was tiny but she definitely was braver than the average human. "I suppose that is one way to look at it. I can understand how having your routine interrupted can feel. Just be sure that you stay away from those flowers. You wouldn't want to end up married to the wrong person." He grinned.
He took another step closer to her. He looked at her hungrily as he could see the vein in her neck throbbing as her heart pounded faster from the run that he had interrupted her from. He could smell her blood as it coursed through her veins and his hunger intensified.
"This won't take very long Alexandra. I just need a few moments of your time before you can go on your way."
