Thread: Ryoko and Dune
Who: Ryoko and Dune Where: The Sacred Mountains of China. When: Daytime What: First encounter Rating: TBD Ryoko Hisen had walked on Earth long before the Sun had been born and long before humans had inhabited the World. She was eternal and had existed before life, and during life on earth, and would live after life on earth ceased. Ryoko was The Silver Dragon, the one in all the myths and legends, the one that shaped religions and featured in many works of art and cultures. But she was not in fact mainly silver in coloring she was black, the only actual black dragon to ever exist and her silver title and representations came from the edges and undersides of her scales which were a silver that appeared so magical and beautiful that it resembled pure white fire when she was in the sun.
She had been blessed long ago by the Gods with the gift of a human form, it had come at the price of serving as protector to humanity but it had aided her well in her journey. The human figure had taken on the silver coloring of her scales in the form of her hair and the black of her scales was resembled in her eyes. Under her eyes on the edge of her eyelid black and silver merged just as it did in her dragon form this merge acted as a sort of makeup but also a birthmark and tribute to her true self.
Ryoko had served the Emperors of Korea, Japan and China throughout their reigns, as well as numerous warlords and Shoguns. She'd become a deity and protector of villagers, as well as a Guardian of humanity. As time had progressed her involvement in the West depleted and the only times she ventured that way was to check on her people who resided in these lands and to answer their prayers for guidance and aid.
When she was not with the people in either her Dragon or human form she was in the mountains of China hidden away among the peaks. Here her first temple still stood cared for by Monks who had dedicated their lives to honoring her existence, they were safely down at the bottom of the mountain in their temples as Winter settled in on the mountain. But not on the peak of the mountain- no here it was like a Utopian paradise where the sun connected with the earth to warm it and shine its glorious rays. It was perfect up here.
Ryoko was lazing in her dragon form soaking up the rays of the sun and enjoying the peace when she sensed the approach of something. Nothing that had ever been stupid enough to attack her in her sacred home had left the mountain peaks alive and today would be no exception. The dragon remained still as a statue, as large as four double decker buses and then some, not including her wings or tail. This was not her natural size but she was hoping that intimidation would work and cause this unwanted visitor to turn tail and run.
Her eyes were closed as she focused on the approaching entity.
