Who: Mal and Sophia When: Sunday, April 21, 2013 Where: The Laundry Room Rating: Unknown Status: Incomplete
Malachi stifled a yawn as he continued to pull wet laundry out of the washer and into the dryer. He could not say this was his favorite chore in the entire world. In fact, it was one of his least favorite chores, though probably not the absolute least. His sister had always done it in the past, unless he was absolutely pressed. He’d had to help with it when he was little, using everything from rocks and the creek to a battered selection of washers over the years, and really, it was considered girls’ and children’s work.
And really, he just didn’t like it. But unfortunately, he had to do it here, and do it more often than most because he still didn’t have a large wardrobe though it was adequate enough. It just meant he had to do it often, especially when he visited the stable at least once a day most days, when he could fit it in between classes and Sophia. It was a soothing place and more familiar than a lot of other things, but it did wear on the clothing rather a bit.
He finished shoving the wet clothes in and starting poking around for the dryer sheets. Someone had moved them… again. Joy.
