When: Friday, April 19, 2013, late evening
Where: Las Vegas, Nevada
Rating: PG-13
Status: Complete
A lot of work went into turning an old resort into a boarding school, and not just when taking renovations into account. There was the travel to find new teachers, looking into finding new students to offer this refuge to, all on top of keeping up with the continued renovations and his own teaching duties. He'd gone to town today for a mail run rather than tomorrow as he and Walter had plans for the weekend. Very important plans.
While he had quite the cushion financially, Aiden always wanted more, and so he'd suggested he and his co-worker take a trip to Vegas. He enjoyed playing roles for trips like this, and this time he was a Turkish businessman, heir to a great fortune. As soon as he arrived, alone of course (it was all a part of the plan), the casino host wasted no time in greeting him and offering him a whole host of amenities. He had her take his things to his suite, letting her know that he was eager to hit the tables.
Blackjack first, and he won a vast majority of hands, joking to the young woman celebrating her twenty-first birthday (and wouldn't it be fun to bed her?) that it was all because he had his lucky coin with him. There was nothing lucky about it. It was a simple Turkish coin, common and in circulation today, but Americans were so ignorant of money outside their own that it was easy to pass it off as unique and lucky. He flirted with the young woman, winking at her, enjoying the way she flushed, and it was difficult for him to remember the plan when lust grabbed hold of him, whispering in his ear to take her upstairs. What would it really hurt to be a little late, anyway?
Only he spotted Walter, and while he was certain the man would do just fine on his own, they'd had a plan. It would be pretty shitty of him to bail on it, especially since this was their first trip to Vegas together. No, it would be much better to establish a working relationship with him first. Still, he leaned over to the girl so that he could whisper in her ear. "I'm staying the weekend, and I would love to help you celebrate properly, but if I shouldn't see you again, I do hope that your birthday is one to remember." And as he spoke, he slid a small stack of $100 chips her way, a small investment really, as he'd noticed the way she squirmed at his breath against her ear, though he made it a point not to touch her. That didn't mean he didn't use another one of his many talents to lure her in.
And so, it was with little surprise that when he left the blackjack table (leaving a generous tip for the dealer) and made his way to the poker table that Walter had chosen (keeping a few seats between them), the girl and her group of friends soon followed. Aiden waited until the current hand was complete before joining in.
