Sam woke to the bright halogen lights bearing down on him, too bright to be motel room lights, unless Dean had a flashlight in his face. His head throbbed like a nasty hangover as he pushed himself into an upright position. The bed must have been harder than he realized cause holy crap it felt like meta--- He grimaced and blinked his eyes open, scanning the room in shock. Where in the hell… His hands ran over the fabric of the hospital gown that was just a tad too small for his large frame. He ran his gaze over the room a little more closely. Old medical equipment and monitors took up space in the small room. Oh, and the old security camera in the room wasn’t the least bit creepy at all. This didn’t really scream yellow eyed demon but he was still scared. The last thing he remembered was passing out from exhaustion after looking for the missing psychic kid Ava. And where the hell was Dean?
As he kept his eye on the camera he stood and went to the closed locker, looking for anything to give him a clue as to what the hell was going on. He opened the locker slowly, hoping to god nothing popped out at him considering he didn’t have anything to protect himself with. Nope, nothing happened. But oh thank god there were his clothes. He quickly grabbed his clothes and the envelope that sat atop them. As he dressed he read the letter at least 4 or 5 times, finally folding it neatly and stuffing it into his back pocket. “Donation to science? What in the…” he thought out loud to himself as he rolled his sleeve over his casted right arm, which had been broken since a run in with a zombie. Looking back up the camera in a top corner of the room, he started towards the door. He pressed his right ear to the door, surprised to hear male voices on the other side.
Sam quickly opened the door and looked down the hall at the other men, catching the tail end of the lieutenant’s introduction. “I’m guessing you guys have no idea what’s going on either?” The fear was evident in his eyes as he looked down the corridor behind the man furthest from him.
