Wesley smiled down at Fred as Regan yelled back that the door was unlocked. Things were falling into place. Their house, their shop, Regan's school. Certainly, they were still waiting for the letter of acceptance, but he was sure that she would be. This was their daughter, after all.
When the door opened, he looked at it expectantly before chuckling when Rupert and Evelyn walked in. He was about to tell his friend that they hadn't and he had better buy a book when Regan said something about a ring.
"Married?" Wesley responded with a grin when Evelyn said she and Rupert were engaged. "When did this happen?"
"Over the weekend," Rupert said, smiling himself. Wesley couldn't remember the last time he had seen him so happy. "We're going marry in a few months."
"Congratulations," he told them.
Regan tugged on Evelyn's jacket. "Do we get to go to the wedding?"
"Of course. I'd quite like you to be our flower girl."
Regan bounced around the store, causing Wesley to laugh. "I think you just made her day."
